I just tried to do the M&M deal at Walgreen 5&O. They are 2/$4 after in store coupon. (not RR) I tried to stack the in store coupons with the online Manufacturer coupon. I had four bags. One online coupon worked and one didn't. The manager said that you couldn't stack the in store instant coupons with MQ's. When the cashier asked why one worked and one didn't, he didn't really have an answer, but wouldn't accept the other one. Anyone know what the official stand is on that? Can you stack an instant in-store coupon with a MQ?
By the way, they are out of the toothpaste that is 4/$10. It is somewhere in the back and they said it would be out later today or sometime tomorrow.

That manager frustrates me, he has told me that before but I don't think it is right because like you said one went through. He makes an excuse for anything that won't go through and most of the time they don't seem right. THe 5 and O is closer to me but now I am going down to the Fairview and Milwaukee one, they are generally better stocked and SUPER nice about coupons! If it seems that it should work the manager always pushes it through.
I called corporate and they don't have a coupon policy and each manager is basically allowed to decide how coupons are handled in their store.
I'm glad I'm not the only one! :) I'll have to try the other Walgreens. Thanks for the input.
I tried to do the Band-Aid deal today at the Wags on Fairview and Milwaukee and it was a no go. The cashier and the manager both said that the coupon from the activity book states that it is $2 off retail. Since the Band-Aids are on sale, they can't take the coupon.
Alyson, I think I know what the problem is... Walgreens has changed the way the coupon book coupons work. They now take an item slot for the item to coupon ratio. A small filler item will make it so your other mq will be able to go. I've noticed this with the monthly coupon books and the healthy savings book. (And I think the coupon book coupon will only take one slot, even if you're getting 2 or more of the items, but I'm not 100% certain about that.)
The regular in-ad coupons still do not effect the item to coupon ratio.
Walgreens on Glenwood and state street wouldn't take the on line coupon either with the store coupon for the M-M's
